Privacy Policy

We respect your absolute right to data privacy. Find out how we safeguard your information.

1. The Core Principle: Local Client-Side Processing

Unlike traditional online converters that upload your video files to remote processing servers, MPEG2MP3 executes entirely inside your web browser.

  • No File Uploads: Your video or audio files are never sent to our servers, networks, or databases.
  • Local Sandboxing: All reading, demuxing, audio track extraction, and encoding logic happens in the browser's sandbox memory.
  • Zero Data Persistence: Once you close the browser tab or click "Convert Another File", all memory allocations are completely cleared by the browser.

2. What Information We Collect

Because we do not run file uploads, we require very little data. Here is what we track:

  • LocalStorage Settings: We store a small item in your browser local storage to remember your theme preference (Light or Dark mode).
  • Anonymous Analytics: We use basic web analytics to track general website statistics (e.g., number of visitors, country location, browser type). This data is completely anonymized and cannot identify you.

3. Third-Party Integrations

The cloud import buttons (Google Drive, Dropbox) are mock integrations for visual demonstration. If they are officially activated in the future, clicking them will redirect you to their official APIs where you must authorize access yourself. No credentials or tokens will pass through our servers.

4. Data Security

Since your files remain on your physical device, the security of your media files depends on your local device. We strongly recommend keeping your browser updated to prevent local browser-level sandbox exploits.
